VMC operator • Colquitt County, Georgia

Great opportunity: we are hiring a VMC operator in Colquitt County, Georgia. You will work at a busy machine shop. Day-to-day duties: • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe Requirements: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Able to grind and set HSS cutters We offer $10,750 per project plus benefits.
