Now hiring: die-casting operator (Texas)

Now hiring: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Harrison County, Texas. On the job you will handle: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
