Metal caster • Chambers County, Alabama

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a metal caster in Chambers County, Alabama. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. Day-to-day duties: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
