Excavator operator • Bassa, Kogi State

Vacancy available: we are hiring an excavator operator in Bassa, Kogi State. You will work in an open-cast mine. Ideal candidate: • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Understanding of safe digging near underground services Day to day you will excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; check for underground cables and services before digging; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations; read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
