Immediate opening: foundry operative (Louisiana)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry operative in Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana. Day to day you will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings 5+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts.
