Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Minnehaha County, South Dakota. The role involves: • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Full-time, day shift.
