Metal caster wanted in South Tyneside

Great opportunity: we are hiring a metal caster in South Tyneside, England. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. You should have: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills On a typical shift you will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. £5,400 per project, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
