Foundry operative wanted in Brown County

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry operative in Brown County, South Dakota. On a typical shift you will skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling 1+ years on the tools preferred.
