Now hiring: we are hiring a conventional mill operator in Jackson County, Alabama. You will be based at a busy machine shop. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges The role involves set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production.
