Immediate opening: we are hiring a plant operator in New Kent County, Virginia. You will work at a road and highway construction project. The role involves dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds; clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble; backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers; work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter; grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient. Requirements: • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control 3+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts.
