Crawler dozer operator — Roanoke County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a crawler dozer operator in Roanoke County, Virginia. Your main tasks: • Maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear • Work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals • Follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels • Form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle • Strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse Requirements: • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Knowledge of daily greasing and pre-start inspections • Valid heavy equipment or plant operator licence 4+ years on the tools preferred. $20 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
