Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete placer in Glasgow City, Scotland. You will be based on a road and bridge project. On a typical shift you will fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing. Requirements: • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
