Horizontal milling machine operator — Scurry County

Now hiring: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Scurry County, Texas. Your main tasks: • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery Requirements: • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
