Occupational health and safety officer wanted in Montgomery County

Join our team: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Montgomery County, New York. You will work in a warehouse and logistics yard. Day to day you will carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height. Requirements: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations 3+ years on the tools preferred.
