Great opportunity: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Pickaway County, Ohio. You will work at a shipbuilding yard. You will carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; read and interpret the load chart before every lift; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone. You should have: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) 1+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts.
