Argon welding operator wanted in Marathon County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Marathon County, Wisconsin. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. On the job you will handle: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer $4,700 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
