You should have: • Comfortable working in inspection pits and on ramps • Confident using diagnostic scan tools • At least 2 years' hands-on experience as a car mechanic Day-to-day duties: • Replace exhaust systems and catalytic converters • Recharge and service the air-conditioning system • Replace clutch plates and gearbox components • Trace electrical faults in the starting and charging systems • Bleed the brake hydraulic lines and check pad wear Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $240 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
