Fabricator-welder — Shelby County

Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Shelby County, Illinois. Day-to-day duties: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination 4+ years on the tools preferred.
