Immediate opening: we are hiring a trainee butcher in City and Borough of Wakefield, England. You will work in a supermarket meat department. Day to day you will season and marinate meat on request; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
