We are recruiting: sand plant operator (Alabama)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Mobile County, Alabama. You will skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Full-time, day shift.
