Crane operator — Saint Joseph County

Join our team: we are hiring a crane operator in Saint Joseph County, Indiana. You will work at a shipbuilding yard. What we are looking for: • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Day to day you will grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. We offer $3,200 per month plus benefits. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts.
