Urgent requirement: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Lancaster County, Nebraska. The role involves set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion. What we are looking for: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
