Vacancy available: we are hiring a formwork joiner in Webster County, West Virginia. The job is on a residential tower site. Day-to-day duties: • Cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs • Repair damaged plywood and timber shutters • Seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss • Erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured What we are looking for: • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
