Vacancy available: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Crenshaw County, Alabama. You will be based in the profile cutting and welding bay. Requirements: • 2+ years' experience fabricating uPVC windows and doors • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop Day to day you will glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square; check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals; insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it; install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter; fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $200 per day, based on your experience. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
