Occupational health and safety officer wanted in Lenoir County

Now hiring: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Lenoir County, North Carolina. Day-to-day duties: • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors You should have: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $17 per hour plus benefits. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
