Join our team: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Chautauqua County, New York. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. The role involves carry out 6G pipe welds where required; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal. You should have: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
