Occupational health and safety officer • Capitol Planning Region, Connecticut

We are recruiting: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Capitol Planning Region, Connecticut. You will work at a busy construction site. What we are looking for: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites You will run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates. 4+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $4,000 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
