Now hiring: steel fixer (North Carolina)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steel fixer in Stokes County, North Carolina. Your main tasks: • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman You should have: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level 3+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $3,000 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
