We are recruiting: we are hiring a presser in Polk County, Texas. The job is in a garment export house. The role involves: • Give each garment a final press before packing • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
