Immediate opening: we are hiring a precision welder in South Central Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based on an industrial construction site. You should have: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Your main tasks: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job 4+ years on the tools preferred.
