Sheet metal welder — Andrews County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Andrews County, Texas. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. What we are looking for: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Your main tasks: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding Six days a week, one day off.
