Now hiring: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Humphreys County, Mississippi. Your main tasks: • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards Ideal candidate: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks Part-time with flexible hours.
