Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas pipeline fitter in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa. The role involves: • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints Ideal candidate: • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches 1+ years on the tools preferred. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
