Great opportunity: we are hiring a lift maintenance fitter in Preston County, West Virginia. The job is on a lift modernisation project. Ideal candidate: • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Valid driving licence for site call-outs Day to day you will rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; measure rope tension and check for broken strands; mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time with occasional weekends. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
