Gtaw welder — San Miguel County

Now hiring: we are hiring a gtaw welder in San Miguel County, New Mexico. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium The role involves read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding.
