Steel erection rigger — Dorchester County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Dorchester County, Maryland. You will work at a shipyard. You should have: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear The role involves establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight.
