Semi-automatic welder wanted in Chesterfield County

Join our team: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Chesterfield County, Virginia. You will work at a busy production line. Day to day you will strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
