We are recruiting: we are hiring a production welder in Cedar County, Iowa. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety The role involves: • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator 6+ years on the tools preferred. $130 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
