Wood machinist • Bladen County, North Carolina

Vacancy available: we are hiring a wood machinist in Bladen County, North Carolina. Day-to-day duties: • Check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
