Vertical milling machine operator — Muskingum County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Muskingum County, Ohio. You will be based at a fabrication and machining plant. You should have: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges Day to day you will machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed.
