Road roller operator — Knox County

Join our team: we are hiring a road roller operator in Knox County, Illinois. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently Your main tasks: • Stockpile and spread material to the required levels • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $23 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
