Hoist operator — Gregory County

Now hiring: we are hiring a hoist operator in Gregory County, South Dakota. The job is in a steel fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) On the job you will handle: • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports Pay around $4,200 per month, based on your experience.
