Floor screeder — City of Charlottesville

Great opportunity: we are hiring a floor screeder in City of Charlottesville, Virginia. You will be based on a road and bridge project. Day-to-day duties: • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing What we are looking for: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours We offer $3,100 per month plus benefits. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
