Immediate opening: we are hiring a garment machinist in South Central Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. Your main tasks: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers What we are looking for: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Rotating shifts.
