Join our team: we are hiring a natural gas fitter in Marshall County, South Dakota. Day to day you will thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation; check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray. Requirements: • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Driving licence for travel between sites • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing Rotating shifts.
