Hoist operator — Umu-Nneochi

Immediate opening: we are hiring a hoist operator in Umu-Nneochi, Abia State. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. You should have: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Understanding of hand and radio signals Day-to-day duties: • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
