Furnace operator — Teton County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Teton County, Montana. You will work on the moulding line. On the job you will handle: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
