Now hiring: we are hiring a lathe operator in Gloucestershire, England. You will be based in a CNC machine shop. Your main tasks: • Monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift • Segregate finished parts into bins and label the batches • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges • Set up and start the machine as per the job card • Change tooling, dies and moulds during product changeovers • Key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature What we are looking for: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Comfortable using vernier, micrometer and gauges • ITI or diploma in fitter or machinist trade an advantage Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
