Foundry operative wanted in City of Galax

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in City of Galax, Virginia. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. The role involves: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle What we are looking for: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
