Vacancy available: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Arenac County, Michigan. Ideal candidate: • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements The role involves: • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date 4+ years on the tools preferred.
